Four For The Holidays

Our 2018 holiday campaign for Cricket Wireless showcased the brand’s beloved CGI characters like never before, as we cast them in a star-studded musical-extravaganza-of-a holiday film, playfully blurring the lines between entertainment and advertising. We got to tell a real story, put meat on the bones of the characters, and win the brand their first ever Cannes Lion. Oh, and we got to write a song! Every other piece of this campaign was built as if we were marketing the film as a can’t miss holiday blockbuster.

 

Short holiday film animated by Psyop, featuring cameos from WWE Superstar Bailey, T.I., and that one guy who plays a cab driver in almost everything.

All of our TV spots were little :15s movie trailers that reinforced Cricket’s big holiday offer while driving buzz for the short film.

 

Using hot-off-the-presses mo-cap —> animation technology, we livestreamed an exclusive press junket-style sit-down between Mario Lopez and the stars of the film. Fans on FB could post their questions and, for the first time in history, interact with animated characters in real-time. This idea won a Lion in 2019 for Innovative Use of Technology.
